Intrus@ is a project created by Elena Albert and Josep-Maria Balanyà.
The music is created by Balanyà, playing on an old bed-base and on the body of the dancer and choreographer Elena Albert. The dancer stays on the bed-base, where she performs a choreography based on Butoh movements, in contrast with the velocity of the percussionist.
We believe we have found a new combination of music and dance. We also found that displaying a naked female body used as an instrument could be provocative and even offensive. Nevertheless it communicates an erotically and physically charged connection, an emotion that is both beautiful and sad. It suggests that man and woman are bound by their respective personal experience.
