James
Kalm is slipping down the Bowery on his way back to Brooklyn when he
unexpectedly makes a detour into the Andrew Edlin Gallery and witnesses
Terence Koh’s installation “Bee Chapel”. Koh is known for his
enveloping art environments and performances. Bee Chapel is the
culmination of a couple of years engagement with bee keeping and a back
to nature life style at the artists secluded retreat in upstate New
York. Along with the “Living Garden of Eden” rooms, the artist also
presents boxed collage works employing bee’s wax, honey combs and found
images from stamps, snapshots and politically charged photographs. This
program was recorded May 26, 2016 on the Bowery.
