Kalm starts out with the best of intentions but… sometimes it's better
to throwaway the itinerary, and just go with the flow. Bouncing through
Bushwick, your correspondent is drawn to Outlet Gallery's Second Annual
Invitational. We buttonhole founding Co-director Julian A. Jimarez
Howard, who gives viewers a brief tour of the show. Biking north we
checkout a newish space, Odetta and "Becoming" an exhibition of
"portraits in the state of solidifying" with works by: Deborah Brown,
Gregory Curry, Mary Dwyer and Alice Momm. Then we zip over the
Williamsburg Bridge to the Lower East Side to view "Through the Valley:
New Paintings by Devin Powers" at the Lesley Heller Workspace.
