James Kalm has seen the work of
Jamison Brosseau in the recent past, and enjoyed its unfinicky brushwork
and clean colors. With "The She-Wolf" Brosseau explores the idea of
paintings in place, how the placement, presentation and environment of a
picture effects its perception by the viewer. Four similar versions of
a four colored composition are hung in an altered gallery setting.
This theoretical installation exposes the view of works whose main
difference is the color of their frames. A musical introduction is
provided by Upstate Rubdown http://upstaterubdown.bandcamp.com/
