On February 6, 2013 the European Parliament voted overwhelming in favour of a far-reaching reform of the EU's Common Fisheries Policy. However, the reform is not fully over. How public funds are invested - the future European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) - will play a critical role in realising the ambition of the Parliament.
On October 23, members of the European Parliament must end the blind spend by voting:
1. For fisheries subsidies that end overfishing;
2. For greater investment in data collection & control and enforcement by; and
3. Against aid for the construction of new vessels.
