The bizarre and grotesque figures
that emerge from the mind of Don Pablo Pedro have shocked some, and
disgusted many. Working with a sharp graphic style and bold colors on
fine muslin scrolls, his sexually explicit hermaphroditic images seem to
probe the exotic extremes of surrealistic sexual display. The imagery
combines elements of Tantric miniatures, underground comics, classic
Western art history and 1960s psychedelic art. This program features a
walkthrough tour and explanation with Don Pablo Pedro at the closing
party of "Puss".
