Your correspondent and non-NSA art
drone was cursing Southwest Chelsea hoping to capture some footage of
the latest Paul and Damon McCarthy exhibition at the massive new Hauser
& Wirth Gallery. However, upon arrival, James Kalm was denied video
access by security personnel. Despite this sanction, he merely dropped
the video camera to his chest and kept recording sideways. After a
brisk run through of this ruckus event, and a return to the studio,
initial viewings of this footage made it appear too crappy to be usable.
After further consideration, and with the experience of this show
still fresh in memory, James Kalm decided that the "halfassed" quality
of the video captured an essential aspect of this manic exhibition. So,
dear viewers, your indulgence is invited.
