James
Kalm returns to make a brief walk through tour of this, Jason Rhoades
largest and last installation. With Rhoades death in 2006, shortly after
the completion of "Black Pussy", this work stands as a final monument
to his particularly unique Western American vision. Accumulations of
various objects, hookahs, cowboy hats, hand blown bottles, as well as
neon signs referring to female genitalia create a dense network of
cultural and aesthetic motifs critiquing the new millennial hipster.
