Guo Fengyi Debuts the New ANDREW EDLIN GALLERY

James Kalm is pleased to debut the new Andrew Edlin Gallery. As a longtime fan of "Outsider" art, your correspondent has kept a close eye on the happenings at Edlin's gallery. "The Art of Guo Fengyi" curated by Tina Kukielski in coperation with the Long March Space Beijing, provides viewers with the first major presentation of Fengyi's work in the United States. Known for her large scaled drawings, Fengyi has received international recognition, for her unique approach to the medium, which melds an enigmatic imagery with diagrammatic notations, and an elegance of line work. Noteworthy is the prestigious location of this new venture, on Manhattan's classic Lower East Side, directly across the Bowery from the New Museum. This program was recorded on December 12, 2015.
