James
Kalm continues with his tenth year of reporting on YouTube, bringing
viewers this new program, as the first installment for 2016. "Not a
Photo" is a group exhibition that poses the question; how has digital
photography changed the syntax of vision. From digital prints on canvas
to photorealistic renderings of warped screen pictures, contemporary
artists produce a plethora of images derived from the virtual world of
electronic media. This show includes: Adam Parker Smith, Eric Yahnker,
Jon DeCola, Kate Bonner, Letha Wilson, Kate Steciw, Mark Flood, Matthew
Stone, Rachel de Joode, Ry David Bradley, Ryder Ripps, Susy Oliveira and
Wil Murray. A musical introduction is provided by Annette Taylor.
This program was recorded on December 30, 2015 on the Bowery, New York
City.
