John Cage is always, in one way or
another, fascinating. Whether he is writing music, noise or silence,
whether he is joking or meditating, he makes you think and feel and
react. At the end, you may change your mind about music and art.
‘In A Landscape’ is a composition for solo piano, written in 1948, for the dancer Louise Lippold. At that time the composer has been deeply influenced by the Indian philosophy and aesthetics. His music becomes quiet, almost silent, revealing the beauty that comes out of stillness.
The cxodosops’ project is based on the idea of ‘activating’ the sound through body movements. It is the first part of an experiment which aims to bring music and motion together at the same place, the same time.
