Horizontal hydraulic fracturing or
fracking is an invasive drilling method that has caused irreversible
environmental damage and health issues in Pennsylvania where fracking is
well underway.
FRACK FREE WATER sounds like a dystopian Road Warrior world, but the truth is our water is in danger. Contaminated waste water is a necessary by product of fracking. Contaminated drinking water is collateral damage that big gas companies will deal with outside the courts and away from the public eye. Pennsylvania should be a cautionary tale.
As a former New York City resident, bottled water is an accessory as much as a thirst quencher. It is sold everywhere. We buy it without thinking from where it comes. We take it for granted. One day your free flowing fresh water may disappear and clean water may be in the hands of the privileged and elite.
FRACK FREE WATER was created to bring awareness to the dangers of fracking, to highlight a local natural Catskills spring that is and always has been clean fresh water (but for how long) and to raise money for the anti-fracking movement. A portion of our proceeds will be donated to anti-fracking advocacy groups.
Let's hope fracking is banned in New York State and beyond or else you better start stockpiling FRACK FREE WATER.
