What if children could choose their parents?
Orphanage. A place where hopeful parents could visit and offer a loving home to orphan children. What if the whole situation would be turned upside down? Welcome to The Orphanage of adults.
We all know that children can’t choose their parents. But what if they could? Would that change the way we as parents behave?
Fragile Childhood encourages people to participate in discussion about responsible parental alcohol use:

The Orphanage-film is produced by A-Clinic Foundation Fragile Childhood activity as part of "In the company of children" -responsibility programme of Alko, Finland’s alcohol retail monopoly. In addition of A-Clinic Foundation, programme partners are Finnish National Institute for Health and Welfare, Finnish Parents' League and Mannerheim League for Child Welfare.
The Fragile Childhood activity has begun in 1986 and has been established as a well-known form of activity in Finland. http://lasinenlapsuus.fi
It is still not widely understood how much harm drinking problems at home cause to children, Fragile Childhood highlights this fact. For example, previous research has shown that every fourth Finnish child has suffered some harm or emotional disturbance because of parent’s alcohol usage. Research carried out among Finnish teenagers aged 12-18 years shows that children think that their parents ought not to drink at home and that they are much nicer when sober.
