Al Held Room at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

While visiting the Met for an unrelated report, Your correspondent stumbled into the newly re-hung Contemporary Painting section of the museum. Surprised by finding this selection of Al Held works from the late 1950s, it was decided that the installation of these important transition works would make an interesting addition to the video documentation that James Kalm has already archived on the painter.
