Don Voisine has built a high profile
reputation among the New York painting community for his commitment to
formalist abstraction. Reducing his compositional elements down to
geometric forms, stripes of varying widths, subtle shifts of tint, and
tone and a sensitivity of matte and shinny surfaces, with this new body
of work he achieves a classic sense of elegance. As past president of
the American Abstract Artists, an artists run organization founded in
1936, Don has provided important support to other artists perusing a
branch of abstraction that has not received sufficient institutional
recognition. This program features an walkthrough interview with artist
Don Voisine.
