James
Kalm first became a fan of the work of Eduard Paolozzi as a wannabe
hippy in the late 1960s. Seeing his graphics in the context of
psychedelia, and late Mod fashion, the younger version of your
corresponded was impressed. Only later was the importance of Paolozzi
revealed as a essential member of the "Independent Group" at London's
Institute of Contemporary Art. This exhibition features three major
metal sculptures, as well as a selection of prints, exploring both the
two and three dimensional projects of this artist, and the echoes this
work set off for early Pop Art and Hip eras.
