Kevin Coyne: Exile on Haupt Straße (2001)



Documentary for VPRO TV about Kevin Coyne. Singer-songwriter Kevin Coyne is known as an eccentric artist with a turbulent past. Nowadays the former therapist and psychiatric patient lives and works in the German town Nuremberg. There he works on his music and his visual arts. Coyne is in his residence and there is talk with him about his experiences in a psychiatric clinic as a therapist, the art of psychiatric patients, his paintings, his music and songs, his records from the 70s, Coyne's period of distress, his alcohol abuse, his new band, his exile in Germany and his relationship with Nuremberg.
